Unmanned Aerial Systems in Atmospheric Research

The European Union's COST Action ES0802:

"Unmanned Aerial Systems in Atmospheric Research"

In collaboration with the Royal Meteorological Society and the UK Met Office, invite oral and poster presentations for a workshop on..

Scientific Applications of Unmanned Aerial Systems in Atmospheric Research

Clare Collage, Cambridge and Met Office, Cardington, 22nd - 24th September, 2010

The main objective of the workshop is to demonstrate the practical uses of UAS in atmospheric research, giving results from past field campaigns and describing the state-of-the-art of instrumentation automation and miniaturisation. Emphasis within the workshop is on Light UAS (LUAS) platforms, although the High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) community is welcome. Future practical demonstrations of UAS capability will be advertised, giving an opportunity for the LUAS community to network and add value to their proposed campaigns. This aspect is augmented by a Demonstration Day of flying and static UAS and instruments at Met Office Cardington.
