Emerald

Emerald Group Publishing Limited are an academic publisher of journals and books based in Bingley, West Yorkshire. We publish Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology (AEAT), one of the oldest journals in this field (first published in 1929). In addition to AEAT, Emerald publishes a number of engineering journals covering a wide range of subjects, many of which are relevant to the aerospace community including Rapid Prototyping Journal, Assembly Automation, Industrial Robot, Sensor Review, International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat & Fluid Flow, and Industrial Lubrication and Tribology.

Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology provides a broad coverage of the materials and techniques employed in the aircraft and aerospace industry. Coverage is essentially of a practical nature and designed to be of material benefit to those working in the field. It offers a combination of technical papers focusing on specific topics, as well as development of new equipment, safety issues, patents, standards, etc. The key areas covered include (but are not limited to): civil and military aircraft; satellites and spacecraft; rotorcraft; flight systems; aerospace technologies; industry case studies; and industry updates.

In 2010, Emerald will launch a new title related to aerospace. Published in partnership with the European Aeronautics Science Network, the International Journal of Structural Integrity aims to bring together academic and industrial research in the area of damage tolerance design and structural integrity. The coverage of the journal includes, but is not limited to, design and assessment of aero-structures; durability of electronic materials including avionics, durability of metallic structures; design and assessment of petroleum structures; computational analysis; new durable materials; design and durability of automotive components; reliability assessment; railway engineering; testing and control systems; surface engineering and coatings; structural ageing.
